Sporting Achievements ’04 – ’05 Click on some of the underlined words for a pic or two…..

1. [September ‘04] Along with many individual winners our school athletics team won the trophy for Best Overall Boys School at the Waterford Schools Cross Country Athletics Competition.

Here is a picture of the team and their coaches. Well done everyone.

2. [November ‘04] Our U10 Gaelic Football Team were crowned Waterford Eastern Champions beating Ballygunner N.S. in a hard fought game by 4 points to 1.

3. [October ‘04] Our U13 Gaelic Football Team won the Waterford Schools Eastern Football Title beating Ballygunner 3-5 to 3-2.

[December ‘04] This team then went on to play in the County Final against Lismore and once again they came away winners by a goal. It had been a great season. There were great celebrations in school when both teams having been presented with their medals showed off with pride their winning trophies. What a year!!!!

4. [April ’05] Retaining our title from last year, our school athletics team won the trophy for Best Overall School at the Waterford and South Kilkenny School Sports Competition. Well done lads.

5. [May ‘05] Both our A and B teams reached the final of the Waterford Region Ribena /FAI schools 5-a-side Soccer ‘C’ Cup Tournament with our A Team coming out on top. This team now go forward to represent Waterford in the Munster round of this competition. Good Luck lads and well done.

6. [June ’05] Our 5-a-side soccer team were crowned Munster Champions in Limerick. They were representing Waterford and now go on to represent Munster in the All Ireland Ribena/FAI schools 5-a-side Soccer Tournament later this month.

7. [June ‘05] Our senior soccer squad won the Jack Kennedy trophy beating Mount Sion 2 nil in the final in Ozier Park. The team was given a huge cheer on their return to the school. Another fantastic day!!!

8. [June 14^{th ‘}05] History was made today as our 5-a-side soccer team completed an amazing run of victories by winning the All Ireland Ribena/FAI 5-a-side Soccer Tournament in Navan. A truly amazing achievement.
