Achievements 2008 – 2009 … click on pink for a pic.
1. [Nov 5th ‘08] Today in Walsh Park we retained our U13 Eastern
Gaelic Football title in a great match against St Stephens.
Incredibly this is our 6th victory in a row in this competition.
2. [Nov 23rd ‘08] Congratulations to our swimmers Jack
Ryan and Darragh O Rourke who competed in the Munster Primary Schools
Swimming Gala in Cork
today. Both swam in the U11 50m backstroke and the U11 50m freestyle and both
received medals. Darragh got the gold and Jack won silver.
3. [Nov 29th ‘08] In another epic encounter we defeated
Lismore in the County Final of the Waterford Primary Schools U13 Gaelic Football competition.
4. [Dec
14th ‘08] Congratulations once again to our swimmers Darragh
and Jack who represented our school so well today in the All Ireland Primary
Schools Swimming Gala in Dublin.
At the end of a long day Jack again had achieved personal best times, while
Darragh won silver in the U11 50m Backstroke. Well done to you both.
5. [Mar
19th ‘09] After a comprehensive victory against
Lismore our young hurlers were declared Indoor Hurling
County Champions for 2009. This was well deserved as a
lot of work had been done by this team.
6. [Apr
2nd ‘09] In a blitz involving 16 teams held in
the Waterford City
Rugby Club we retained our title from last year as Waterford Primary
Schools Tag Rugby Champions.
7. [Apr
30th ‘09] Tonight our Athletics Team won
the cup for 2nd place in the “Best Overall School”
category at the Waterford Primary Schools Athletics Competition held in the
RSC.
8. [May
14th ’09] After a hard fought series of games our 5 a side
Soccer team were crowned Munster Champions today in Nenagh. This
team progressed to the All Ireland
Finals in Tullamore and won bronze medals. Well done to the lads and to Mr
Morgan who looked after this team.
9. [June
11th ‘09] This afternoon in Gracedieu our U13 Hurlers won
the Waterford
Primary Schools Eastern U13 Championship
defeating Ballygunner in a close game.
