1. [Nov 15th ‘09] Congratulations to Jack Ryan and Darragh O Rourke who competed in the Munster Primary Schools Gala today in Cork. Jack won silver in the 100m IM while
Darragh won gold in the 50m backstroke and gold in the 50m freestyle.
2. [Dec 6th ‘09] Well done to Darragh O Rourke who was
crowned All Ireland
50m backstroke champion
today in Dublin
at the National Primary Schools Swimming Gala.

[Jan 20th ‘10] After 2 rounds of competition and a very
close finish in their final game the St Declans team were crowned Waterford champions in
the Futsal
Indoor Soccer Tournament for boys in 3rd and 4th class.
4. [Mar 2nd ‘10] Congratulation to our Indoor Hurling Team who claimed the title of Waterford Indoor Hurling Eastern Champions today by winning all their matches in
the finals blitz held in the Butler
Community Centre. Thanks to Mr Fitzgerald and Mr Kirby for looking after this
team.
5. [Mar 18th ‘10] This afternoon our Indoor
Hurling Team
completed the double and won back to back titles as they retained their County Indoor Hurling title against Abbeyside in the Butler
Community Centre on a score line of 10 goals to 8. This is a fantastic
achievement by a team who gave their all in every game. Well done lads.
6. [Apr 22nd ‘10] A delighted David Power accepted the cup
on behalf of our school athletics
team for
“The Best
Boys School”
today in the Waterford Primary Schools
Athletics Competition in
the RSC.
7. [May 11th ‘10] Congratulations
to David Hogan who has been
selected on the Primary Game football team. David will line out on the Waterford team which
will play Clare at Fraher Field on Sunday May 23rd. We wish David the best of
luck.
8. [May 26th ‘10] Congratulations to Mark Mullally who will represent St Declans on the
Waterford Primary Game hurling team who will face Clare in advance of the
Senior inter county clash on the June bank holiday Monday. We wish Mark the
best of luck.
9. [May 26th ‘10] Congratulation to our School Tennis Team who were crowned Munster Primary Schools Champions today in Cork defeating Tramore 4 – 0 in the
final.

done to our School
Athletics Team
who competed in the County Finals in Dungarvan this evening. We had 2
individual medal winners and our U10 relay won bronze.

1st ‘10]
Congratulations to our School U11
Hurling Team who
today in Walsh Park
claimed the Waterford Primary Schools
title beating Mount Sion in a great final.

[June
17th ‘10] Today in Ballygunner marked the end of
an incredible journey for our U13 Hurlers. Having won the
Eastern Primary Schools title on June 3rd they went on to play Cappoquin in
the county final on June 11th. This ended in a draw even after extra time! Todays
replay was another epic and our victory represented a historic first as it
was the first time ever we have won a hurling County title. Well done to
all involved. A truly amazing achievement.
