Class Work Special Events School Archives	Burst Pipes – Jan 2011 Please wait for the pictures to load…… The first three pictures below show some of the water damage caused by burst pipes during the Christmas holidays. 2 classrooms and the hall were badly flooded, while both preschool rooms and 2 corridors also suffered water damage. Damage was also done to ceilings of adjoining classrooms. As a result, a big clean up was first needed. Then work got under way to remove, and replace damaged ceilings. Extensive work was also needed to repair broken pipes and connections in our plumbing system. {Pictures below taken on January 8^th 2011} Old water tanks in our attic needed to be cut into pieces and removed, before new tanks could be installed. The pictures below were taken on Jan 14^th and show the great progress that was made during the week to repair the plumbing and to put the classrooms back together again. Miss McKeons class needed to work in the hall for a few days while the Preschool too were also a room short.. However both Junior infant classes were ready to work as normal.
