Buddy Programme - April ‘07
Mr Kirbys 5th Class and Mrs G Brennans 1st
Class were presented with certificates after completing a “Reading Buddy Programme”.
This programme involves a child in a younger class reading for or with an
older child and is based on a paired reading technique. Both classes
benefited from the experience of working together. This was the first year we
tried this programme and now that we have started we intend to repeat the
experience next year. The programme was set up by Mrs O Shea {E.L.S. Teacher}
in conjunction with the two class teachers. A word of thanks to Mrs White who
also assisted.
