La Fête des Sorcières - 07
“Happy Halloween Everybody!”
As 5th and 6th boys enjoy their French
classes we take the opportunity to notice how similar some French and English
words are. “Un squellette” is a skeleton, “un fantôme”
is a ghost {phantom} and “un chat” is a cat. A witch is “une
sorçière” and a fire is “un feu”. Isn’t it nice to
know that languages can be so alike and that we share more than we thought
with our European neighbours. Trés bien, n’est ce pas?
