From Geek to Hero! Once upon a time there was a boy called Bob in Waterford. Bob was great at everything although he was only 11 years old. However, everyone thought he was a geek. He
wore big circular glasses and striped clothes. Bob was an only child. He never knew what it’s like to be in a family. Bob loved competitions but he never seemed to win any. Getting very
frustrated Bob declared “this is my last competition “. Luckily he won! The
prize was a field trip which included a 2 night stay in 5 star hotel for Bob and his class. After a 6 hour train trip the boys and girls arrived at the hotel.
They were amazed at the hotel. It was
enormous! There was a swimming pool, games arcade,3D
HD television in every room and a party just for them. Following a fabulous
meal in the restaurant they went to bed ready for the amusement park the next
day. The following morning Bob’s class arrived at the amusement park before
it opened. The minute the gates opened they dashed in and headed for their
favourite ride. One of Bob’s favourite rides was the helicopter ride. Bob was
embarrassed to discover that his partner was a girl. What they did not know
was that the helicopter had been hijacked by wanted criminals. Bob remembered
that during the train ride his friend told him that two wanted criminals had
escaped jail! Quick-thinking Bob grabbed a parachute and jumped out of the
helicopter with the girl. After landing safely Bob rang the Gardaí. He was
